Dear Conscious Business Community,

Many people experience a change of heart in life, but what is the heart of change? We believe this is what makes CBI so special. This month we hear from experts on the heart of change. The old paradigm of business places primary importance on the financial bottom-line only. It does not honor feelings for self, the environment, nor for human well-being. By waking up to these essentials, one has a change of heart and starts on a path to be the heart of change. Conscious business success is centered in the heart of change for a better world.

The heart of change is embedded in Principle #2 of the Conscious Business Declaration, which states that "the purpose of Business is to increase economic prosperity while contributing to a healthy environment and improving human well-being.” This is a shift away from the bottom-line only as the ultimate objective of business.

We invite you to join us on October 24 for Global Oneness Day to hear several leaders share wisdom and stories of being the heart of change through business leadership, grassroots efforts, and company-wide conscious business practices. In the Conscious Business Declaration, Oneness is defined: "Business and all institutions of the human community are integral parts of a single reality — interrelated, interconnected and interdependent."

As Conscious Business Change Agents (CBCAs), we practice the principle of Oneness in our work. Yet, more fundamentally, we embody Oneness throughout all aspects of our lives. Truly Oneness must begin within ourselves. It starts as an "inside job" so that we can authentically model it throughout our respective outside jobs.

In the hyper-busy, outer-focused world of business, maintaining an inner consciousness of Oneness can often be challenging. However, we can support ourselves through various conscious practices including continuous self-awareness, meditating daily, seeing the Divinity of others, and holding life-affirmative intentions. 

In this month of October, CBCAs also have Global Oneness Day as a resource for an "inner tune-up" and as a way to align our consciousness with the greater global community.

In the spirit of Oneness and with an intention of self-care, CBI invites all CBCAs to join with like-minded and like-hearted people all over the world on October 24. Through your presence, you will contribute to the expansion of consciousness and come away re-energized for the sacred work you have been called to do.

Join us for a powerful day filled with insight and inspiration on October 24, 2017. Global Oneness Day features a series of heart-opening conversations with many inspiring speakers, including those working in conscious business.

Listen between 4-5 pm PST as Kristin Vesa moderates business leaders Lance Secretan, The Secretan Center; Marilyn Tam, Ph.D., CEO of Marilyn Tam & Company; Ozioma Egwuonwu, CEO of BurnBrightInternational; and Raj Sisodia, a founding member of the Conscious Capitalism movement - while they share expert perspectives on implementing conscious business principles. Their discussion will include how to impact from leadership, grassroots, and system-wide approaches. No matter what role you play in business, this panel has something for you.

REGISTER FOR GLOBAL ONENESS DAY

Over the past several months, we have been making an intentional effort to increase CBI's social media activity. To that end we encourage you to participate in the CBI Facebook group. Start a new conversation, contribute to existing conversations, and share news items of interest.

Upcoming Self-Paced Courses

CBI's self-paced courses - such as INspired Practices for Conscious Business - launch dates will be later this year. We continue to listen to your suggestions and are taking our time to ensure that the courses fully support the practical application of conscious business methodologies. Look for an announcement in November's CBI Connections newsletter.

The Conscious Business Change Agent (CBCA) Training and Certification Program 

The 2017 program is well underway, with upcoming graduation in November. Conscious Business Change Agents are professionals who have the expertise to guide companies - either as a leader within a firm or as a consultant - through the transformation process to become a conscious business.

Can't make it live? No problem. All sessions are archived in the group feed so that you can access any day's meditation whenever it's convenient.

Our Facebook group is also a place for you to join in community with other like-minded change agents, to share beneficial stories and to gain inspiration on a daily basis.

On September 23, 2017 Steve Farrell presented to the 8th annual Spiritual Heritage Education Network (SHEN) conference at the Federation Hall, University of Waterlook, Waterloo Ontario, Canada.

The audience was really excited about what CBI is doing, especially that we are making the connection of inner transformation with outer transformation.
