Remember We Are One
Sr. Director, Conscious Business Initiative
Dear Conscious Business Community:
When I hear September, I think remember. As a global community of business leaders, we are committed to developing the awareness and skills needed to consciously evolve our organizations in alignment with the principles in the Conscious Business Declaration.
Let’s explore Principle 1: “We are One with humanity and all of life. Business and all institutions of the human community are integral parts of a single reality - interrelated, interconnected and interdependent.” In these times of unrest, dramatic weather and heightened awareness of the ways humans are treated in the world, let us remember we are One Community.
If you have been feeling disconnected, take a breath and realize the hope that is everywhere in this moment. You are reading this because you have hope. You are a part of One Community that believes in flourishing for all.
Do you know someone who would benefit from this message? A business associate, perhaps? The time is now to invite them into this community, this movement, for we are in the business of building One Community aware and actively participating in co-creating a better world for all. Please feel free to forward this newsletter to anyone who may resonate with this message.
Practicing the Power of Our Response

| What strikes me about what's been happening in the world in recent weeks is the power of response. In particular, the recent storms and flooding occurring in Texas and in South Asia have been met with a resilient response by individuals, organizations, and conscious businesses all stepping up in a spirit of Oneness to care for those impacted by the devastation. The CBI community has responded, as well, brainstorming ways that we could be of help. For example, one email thread initiated by Dan Simon suggested offering healing meditation sessions for helping people get over their loss and dealing with stress. |
| Also, Athena Melchizedek provided a link to an Invocation to Assist the Texas Floods, the audio and PDF of which you can find here: http://childrenofthesun.org/invocation-benefit-texas-floods/ And though the language of the Invocation is specific to Texas, of course we can include South Asia in our hearts when listening or speaking it. The power of response is one of many powers that conscious business change agents have been trained to practice. As the CBI community continues to come together to provide healing support from the flooding, we will keep you informed about how you can join us. |

NEW Training Program: IN-spired Practices for Conscious Business
CBI is happy to announce our first 6-week self-paced course - IN-spired Practices for Conscious Business - debuting on September 27. This course is designed to build understanding and know-how through practical application of the methodologies in Conscious Business. Additionally, the self-paced format is designed to accommodate busy schedules by allowing access to the content when its most convenient.
The Conscious Business Change Agent (CBCA) Training and Certification Program is underway for 2017. Conscious Business Change Agents are professionals who have the expertise to guide companies - either as a leader within a firm or as a consultant - through the transformation process to become a conscious business.
